Beginning March 18, North Carolina Department of Transportation ferry customers coming to Hatteras Island via to southern route through the Cedar Island or Swan Quarter ferries to Ocracoke Island will have the convenience of ordering advanced tickets for toll ferries online. Local non-profit organization Locomotion, the Cape Hatteras Teen Association, will be hosting its Second Annual Seal Swim on Saturday, March 7, starting at 10 a.m. on the oceanfront behind the Outer Banks Motel on Highway 12 in Buxton.
